GameFace News

Let us start this launch to our blog by saying, we never left. The past several months without tournaments have caused a lot of confusion within our community. We are here to clear up that confusion and explain what has been going on behind the scenes and where we are moving from this point forward.

First and foremost, we have spent the last several months diligently working on new features, plans, and systems that will provide you—the community—with the engagement and opportunity within the esports space. We have a lot of ground to cover, but for those of you that are new to our platform, we want to give some context as to how GameFace is shaping into the future of gaming and esports.

What is GameFace?

We began this project a little over a year ago with the intent to enter the tournament space and provide fully automated, safe and engaging competitive events. With the seemingly instant success of Call of Duty: Warzone, the demand for competitive gaming with cash prize incentives absolutely exploded.

We launched GameFace with this opportunity in mind. By offering transparent score review, live leaderboards and balanced divisions, we quickly entered the tournament scene with a different value proposition from most other platforms. Solving these problems lies at the forefront of our development team; as we continue to build out features, we seek to elevate the expectations of you—the players. This has been a long journey but trust us when we say that we are here for you.

Where have we been?

What happened to our weekly tournaments? When will we be operational once again? And will we have anything new to offer? To give some context to our sudden halt: in mid-June we abruptly separated from the payment platform that handled all ticket transactions on our platform. Given that until this point there were no problems, the news immediately put a stop to all paid-entry tournaments.

Following this separation, we immediately began searching for new platforms to process our ticket transactions. This search and implementation took some time to occur. Over the course of these months, we tried to stay as active as possible within our Discord and assure all players that we would make our return—unfortunately without a specific timeline in mind. This has been a long and arduous process, but we are approaching the light at the end of the tunnel. Understandably, there was a lot of doubt as to what was going on behind the scenes. However, trust that we always kept the community in mind when making the transition to a new payment platform. Many new opportunities have arisen for GameFace in the process of this migration, and we are very excited to introduce our new integrations once our tournaments return!

Lastly, yes—we are relaunching with some great new features that are now fully operational. In fact, one of the features we are most proud to now offer you is what you are currently looking at! We will be actively posting articles to our website to keep you up to date with the latest esports news, GameFace updates, and noteworthy tournaments or events. We hope you are as excited as we are to see the upcoming articles!

Where are we going?

GameFace has evolved over the last year as we continued to develop this project. We have some huge plans in the works to expand to other titles with our platform. Furthermore, there are some fantastic expansions to the GameFace platform that are only a few weeks away from debuting. As time progresses, we will release more information on these new and exciting features.

Get Ready.
To those that know who we are—we are back. To those that do not, get your GameFace on, because we are just getting started.
